How To Apply

The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at the University of Cincinnati offers three residency positions for each academic year. Applications are accepted only through the Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS).

To be considered for the position, the applications have to be complete and the applicant must have taken the NBME Comprehensive Basic Sciences Exam and report a competitive score.

The NBME CBSE is open to all dental students interested in applying to oral and maxillofacial surgery residency programs. After completion of the examination, applicants will receive an electronic score report within one week from NBME. A copy of the score report will also be provided to the AAOMS. CBSE scores will not be available to medical schools. More details on the same can be found on AAOMS Website [this link opens in a new window].

We at the University of Cincinnati are aware of the unique challenges faced by applicants during the current admission cycle.   Those challenging the CBSE examination during the August 15 – September 15 window will not receive score reports until the week of September 21st.  Applicants for the 2021 admission cycle must contact the program with their scores as soon as they become available to complete the application process.

Please ensure that your PASS application pack contains the following materials for your application to be considered complete:

  • Curriculum vitae.
  • 2x2 photograph.

The Division of OMS at the University of Cincinnati does not sponsor visas or consider foreign graduates without dental license in the US.

Upon receipt of a completed application, the most qualified applicants are invited for a personal interview.

The deadline for application is October 1, 2020.
