Medical Student Financial Services

Medical students in the CARE/Crawley Building

Welcome to Student Financial Services

The Office of Student Financial Services provides students with information about the cost of attending the College of Medicine as well as the federal, state, institutional and private programs available to help students meet their educational expenses.

If they need it, all medical students qualify for some form of financial aid. On these pages you will find information about the financial aid process, the required applications and deadlines.

Most financial aid for medical students is in the form of loans. Because you will sign the promissory notes for these loans and will be legally responsible for their repayment, you should be fully informed about the terms and conditions of your loans. Several repayment options are available to borrowers of federal student loans, and we will assist you in exploring these options prior to graduation.

Because medical school is very expensive, we encourage our students to budget their funds carefully and to anticipate expenses as they progress through the curriculum. Our Cost of Attendance figures are intended as a guideline to help students create their own budgets.

We look forward to working with you. Feel free to contact us if you do not find the information you are seeking on these pages.
